The Voice of Truth Keeps His Promises

“…and He did not speak to them without a parable; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples. On that day, when evening came, He said to them, "Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd, they took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him. And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up. Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?" And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, "Hush, be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm. And He said to them, "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?" They became very much afraid and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?" (Mark 4:34-41)

October 14, 2002 – God gives me Mark 4:34-41 in a dream…let us cross over to the other side; have you no faith? God is saying, “Step over, step in – it’s time to move ahead. Move past your fears, doubts, inadequacies – cross over! Trust me! There will be storms around you but you will not be overcome by them although it may feel like you are. I will be with you the entire time and in my name you will go through the storm. I will calm the storms as necessary but you must have absolute and complete faith. Cross over from the safe and comfortable to the unknown and uncomfortable.”

Oh, what I would do
To have the kind of faith it takes
To climb out of this boat I'm in
Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone
Into the realm of the unknown
Where Jesus is,
And He's holding out His hand

But the waves are calling out my name
And they laugh at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The waves they keep on telling me
Time and time again
"Boy, You'll never win, You'll never win."

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

Oh, what I would do
To have the kind of strength it takes
To stand before a giant
With just a sling and a stone
Surrounded by the sound
Of a thousand warriors
Shaking in their armor
Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand

But the giant's calling out
My name and he laughs at me
Reminding me of all the times
I've tried before and failed
The giant keeps on telling me
Time and time again
"Boy You'll never win, You'll never win."

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says "Do not be afraid!"
And the Voice of Truth says, "This is for My glory"
Out of all the voices calling out to me
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

But the stone was just the right size
To put the giant on the ground
And the waves they don't seem so high
From on top of them looking down
I will soar with the wings of eagles
When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus
Singing over me

But the Voice of Truth tells me a different story
The Voice of Truth says do not be afraid
And the Voice of Truth says, “This is for My glory”
Out of all the voices calling out to me (calling out to me)
I will choose to listen and believe

(I will choose to listen and believe)
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth
I will choose to listen and believe the Voice of Truth

I will listen and believe
I will listen and believe the Voice of Truth
I will listen and believe
'Causes Jesus You are the Voice of Truth
And I will listen to You.. oh You are…

The Voice of Truth most certainly keeps His promises! All the glory to HIM!

In HIS strength and for HIS glory…
