Finding Comfort and Hope in Psalm 103

This morning I sought comfort from God and one of my favorite psalms of all time, Psalm 103.  My prayers and needs prompted me to create a new personal version of Psalm 103:

Praise the LORD GOD, oh my soul,

and forget not all his benefits and sovereignty

Praise the LORD GOD, oh  my soul,

who forgives all my failures and heals all my dis-eases

The Lord God redeems my life from the pits of sorrow, pain, and despair

And crowns me with all-encompassing love and compassion

God satisfies my desires with the better things he has ordained for me

So that I am strengthened and my faith is renewed
