Trail Lessons - There is Life Under the Ice

These are some of the Scriptures which inspired the thoughts I recorded at the reservoir:

In the origin Elohim created the heavens and the earthland.  And the earthland became a chaos and a discomposure, and darkness was on the face of the tumult.  And the spirit-wind of Elohim vibrated over the face of the waters
(Genesis 1:1-2, Dabhar)

Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard? The God of the age -- Jehovah, Preparer of the ends of the earth, Is not wearied nor fatigued, There is no searching of His understanding.
(Isaiah 40:28, YLT)

There is no one apart from Me; I am YHWH, and there is no other.  Former of light and Creator of darkness, Maker of good and Creator of evil, I YHWH, make all these things.  Drip down from above, heavens, and let the skies distil righteousness; Let the earth open up, let salvation bud, and let righteousness sprout together with it; I, YHWH, create it.
(Isaiah 45:6-8, CVOT)

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2, NAS)

For everything there is a stated time, and a season for every event under the heavens…
(Ecclesiastes 3:1, CVOT)

…we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.
(1 Timothy 4:10, CLNT)

For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.  Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.  Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
(Hebrews 4:12-16, NAS)

…Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that H was entombed, and that He has been roused the third day according to the scriptures…now Christ has been roused from among the dead, the Firstfruit of those who are reposing [sleeping].  For since, in fact, through a man came death, through a Man also, comes the resurrection of the dead.  For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified.  Yet each in his own class: the Firstfruit, Christ; there upon those who are Christ’s in His presence; thereafter the consummation, whenever He may be giving up the kingdom to His God and Father, whenever He should be nullifying all sovereignty and all authority and power. For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet.  The last enemy is being abolished: death.  For He subjects all under His feet…Now, whenever all may be subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be all in all.
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 20-28, CLNT)

God highly exalts Him [Christ Jesus], and graces Him with the name that is above every name, that in the name of Jesus every knee should be bowing, celestial and terrestrial and subterranean, and every tongue should be acclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord, for the glory of God, the Father.
(Philippians 2:9-11, CLNT)

…for it is God Who is operating in you to will as well as to work for the sake of His delight.
(Philippians 2:13, CLNT)

Glory be to
…our Saviour, God… Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth.  For there is one God, and one Mediator or God and mankind, a Man, Christ Jesus, Who is giving Himself a correspondent Ransom for all (the testimony in its own eras [at the proper time])…
(1 Timothy 2:3-6, CLNT)
