As I hiked the foothills of the Rocky Mountains on Good
Friday, I passed by a rushing stream and paused by it to record some thoughts:
~~~~~~~
And YHWH Elohim instructed the human [Adam] saying:
From every tree of the garden you may eat, yea eat. But from the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil, you must not eat from it; for on the day you eat from it, to die you
shall be dying.
(Genesis
2:16-17, CVOT)
~~~~~~~
She [Mary] will bear a Son; and you shall call His
name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
(Matthew 1:21, NAS)

For the wages of sin
is death…
(Romans 6:23, NAS)
~~~~~~~
The really good news of our Savior God, through our Lord
Jesus Christ, is this:
Christ died for our
sins according to the Scriptures
He was buried
He was raised on
the third day according to the Scriptures
Christ has been
raised from the dead!
since by a man [Adam] came death
by a man [Jesus Christ] also came
the resurrection of the dead
as in Adam all die
so also in Christ all
will be made alive, each in his own order
when all has been
subjected to Christ
the final enemy, death,
will be abolished
Christ will
subsequently be subjected to Father God
so that God may be
all in all
…if Christ has not
been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain
…if Christ has not
been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins
…if we have hoped in
Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied
…Christ has been
raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep. For since by a
man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For
as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the
first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, then comes the end, when He hands over the
kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority
and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies
under His feet. The
last enemy that will be abolished is death. When all things
are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One
who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.
(1 Corinthians
15:3-4, 12-28, NAS)
For by grace you
have been saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of
God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His
workmanship…
…Christ Jesus…He is our Peace…
